Well, I really wanted to get in on this pic of the day thing today but I didn't have any time to get out and shoot so this is what I have:
I took a pic of one of my son's toys and messed it all up LOL. The pic was kind of boring so I made it look cool.
Please don't compare my pics to Jack's!

I agree, the glowing edges really look neat. The original looks kinda boring compared to the "enhanced" version.

today's bugs
I went out back this morning stalking bugs again... here's what I got:
I took a bunch of shots of this bee and just couldn't get a good one. When looking at the pics on my computer, I noticed this big spider hiding in
the plant so I thought that made it worth posting.
The one that could've been  I didn't even see the wasp entering
the frame as I tripped the shutter... I would've loved it if I got the whole thing in the shot.

makes me wish I had a better camera. that macro stuff is amazing. catching a hornet in flight to a flower (now I know they fly with legs straight back
tucked up like landing gear hehe) you can see the wing too, pretty fast

After looking at your spider pic last night I went and tried to take some too! Except all of my pics really look like crap. The web in question was attatched to an azalea bush and the side of my
storage building. Im thinking the reflection off the siding is my problem. The location of the web didn't give me any options on the direction of the
pic. Mabey I need to find another web, get a better camera, or learn how to take a better picture.
Any chance of telling us the mode/settings you were using? I really would like to know.

I'm glad you liked the pic BDR! I shot the spider in manual mode at a shutter speed of 100th and an aperature of f10. I used an external flash. I
also shined a flashlight on the cridder for focusing. Good luck!
