I have to say - Two BIG thumbs up for Ace. .
I was fortunate enough to get a preview of the kit, (Thanks ) and if you
ask me, they went all out. You will get -
Two complete diff's with gears, bearings and all the bolts. This
would be a great time to chuck the plastic through bolt cases and put all these new parts in a set of MSJ cases.
New Clutch with NEW Spring and Shims. Good time to replace the stock
flywheel with the MSJ one and or do the 18 tooth clutchbell.
All the Carb parts that are different.
The head with Shim. Most of us don't need that. Use the MSJ Head.
The Starter. Throw it away.
The rest is in the pics. -

If you should want one of these kit's but don't have your receipt, you might want to check with the place where you purchased your EK4. They
might be able to provide you with a copy.

I've had this upgrade kit a long time now....
... but I can agree that it's very generous of TTR to give it to us (V1 owners that is) for free.....

Great news
If this is on the up and up,this is good news. It's nice to see TTR making an effort to make up for some past troubled times. Now,where did I put
my sales slip?? Spike

BAD NEWS
Sorry guys 'n' gals.
I just got off the phone with Amerang and there aren't any plans to do this over here in the UK.
This is something Ace are doing themselves, these upgrade kits aren't coming from Thunder Tiger, they're being put together by Ace just for
their customers.
Bad news for us in the UK.

Sorry to hear that.
You MIGHT be able to purchase the kit from Christian through Monster Ready, but I would only value it at what it cost for the Clutch
Shoes and Spring, Gears with bearings and the Carb mods.

Maybe they wont do it cause of shipping.they did stress "ground shipping"...if u supply the right paperwork and confer with them on the fone
u might be lucky enough to be an overseas reciever, if ur willing to cough up the extra dough for shipping....and if it's worth the offset cost
of buying the kit locally....just a thought for u guys overseas...that sucks....if it were possible I do it for ya from here and ship it out but i
dont think thats possible....50 requests from one person in NY...."yea Ace...i got 50 Ek4's in my shed....send over my parts please "

I don't know if Ace are the worldwide distributors and Amerang buy off them, or if Amerang are supplied by Thunder Tiger.
If they're supplied by Ace then there may be the possibility of sorting something out if we pay the shipping to the UK, but I
wouldn't hold your breath. I'd certainly be very happily do that though as there looks to be $100-150 worth of parts in each kit!
I'll look into it and let you know what I find out. Failing that, like Jack says there may be the option to see if MR can stock the kits for
sale, but will only try to gets the parts Jack mentioned, as the head and starter most people will already have 'upgraded' versions of.

Well I never received a receipt when I bought mine cause I got it on Ebay from a dealer, and yes it was sealed and brand new. They never shipped a
receipt with it. I will be trying to get ahold of the dealer to see if I can get a copy but we'll see about that. For now I have emailed Ace
customer support and sent them a copy of my PayPal receipt hoping that it will be enough. I guess we will see if it is good enough in a couple of
days. I hope so cause that would be cool of them. I didn't send them a fax cause I don't have access to a fax machine. I will keep you all
informed of what happens. see ya bye...

Well, According to Doug at Ace, this is a Thunder Tiger offering and he thinks it should be available to Amerang.

I'm not sure. I would think that if Ace is the Canadian distributor, they should.
Post over on Aces forum and Doug should respond.

I also lost my receipt, So I got in touch with E-Hobbies where I purchased it. And they have no back reference to go back on. They asked me for an
order number wouldn't that be on the receipt. So I guess I'm
out of luck, So much for E-Hobbies

You know I never received a receipt when I bought my truck through Ebay from I guess a very small distributer. But I did have a receipt from Paypal
for the transaction between this guy and me. Now this receipt does have the date and discription of the product and everything. I still haven't
heard if Ace is going to except it but I did get in touch with the guy that sold it to me and he doesn't have a copy of the receipt but he does
have an account through Ace and he said that if I have any problems then have Ace call him and he will confirm that I bought one brand new and sealed
from him. Now if he can do that and if any of the places that any of you bought your truck from should be able to do the same especially if they want
to keep your business. Also I think that Ace should except a credit card receipt or what ever kind of receipt of payment for your truck because it is
proof that you did pay for it and I don't think that many people accually paid cash for their truck and didn't put that receipt in a safe
place. But people that paid by credit card should always be able to get a copy of the transaction from there credit card company. If anything you can
get your credit card # and the company that you bought your truck from should be able to trace the transaction that you made and they should be able
to hook you up with something, if they are reputable. Maybe what I'm saying has no meaning but I think that it's worth a shot.

Mine too
Anyone know what the difference in performance is with the newer carb hardware?
A while back someone mentioned that they thought the new EK4 was slightly detuned.
Just curious......
