pro.70 crank into pro.90 heli.

Hi everyone,
I was in a hobbyshop last week and saw a thunder tiger Pro.90 heli engine. Does anyone know if the .70 crank will fit the .90? And will the .70 cooling head fit the .90?
Just wanted to find out as I'm inching to do an engine upgrade:o

Forum Administrator Lightning aka Steven posted about this several years ago.

He had both engines and he reported that it would not work. Bummer as I had entertained the idea aswell.:(

If I remember the crank stroke was wrong , so the crank swap is out of the window.

I think the carb fitting was the same .

The head does not fit .

You could get an OS hyper 91 , already has the large head , not sure if carb would fit as heli carb would /may not work correctly as its not designed for that.

Starting is is the big problem , you may get away with a larger flywheel but if I remember the engine is already on higher mounts so it would not stick out of the chassis so you could use a wheel starter.

You could have a starter made up , but would be big bucks .

Y not go the full hog and fit a 26cc Zenoah engine in it ?? pull starter is already there and they come with a fantastic clutch and gear out put etc.

Then it will have over twice the power of the EK4:cool:
